Zip Line
Launched Zip Line
Lightning-fast adrenaline.
Launched from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds, for a spectacular, thrilling and unforgettable ride!

Lightning acceleration: 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 s
A 3 G push over 20 m, whatever the rider's weight.

Automated, secure system
Electric winch catapult launch and dual braking system on arrival.

Strong appeal
A unique attraction, ideal for getting people talking about your site.
A launched zip line built for your site

Classic Launched Zip Line
Around 500 m: the best balance between thrills and throughput, because the intensity comes from the catapult, not the length.

Long-Distance
From 1,000 to 2,000 m long, up to 300 m above the ground: an extraordinary experience, with a lower hourly throughput.

Duel
Two parallel cables: riders set off side by side, a challenge for some, a shared and reassuring experience for others.
Why install a launched zip line?

Acceleration that gravity can't give
On a classic zip line, speed comes only from the slope: you cut through the air faster and faster, with no real push. Here, a patented catapult system launches the rider from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds, over just 20 m. The 3 G push is intense but perfectly controlled, and the same for all riders from 35 to 120 kg.
Possible even on a gentle slope
Because the speed comes from the catapult, the zip line can be installed where a slope too gentle makes a classic zip line impossible. On such terrain, the loss of speed during the ride even ensures a gentle arrival at the braking gantry. On a steeper slope, the system also works, with a longer braking zone.

A highlight for your site's reputation
An unrivaled sensation attracts visitors and is easily shared on social media. The launched zip line becomes a showcase for your site and for all the activities around it. Designed to operate for several decades, it requires little maintenance.

Study and design calculations
Using your site's topographical data, we study the suitable route, length and braking system, and produce the installation's design calculations.

Construction and installation
Poles and foundations, launch and braking gantries, start platform, lifting platforms: the complete installation takes about 12 weeks of on-site work, weather permitting.

Testing, training and inspection
After testing and adjustments, your operators are trained to run the installation, which is inspected by an independent body before opening to the public.

How does a ride work?
The rider puts on a harness modeled on those used in hang gliding. A lifting platform raises them, lying down, up to the trolley, where they are clipped in and held by an anti-rollback system. On the signal, the electric winch launches the trolley: from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds, then the ride continues head first, above the landscape. On arrival, the braking gantry slows the trolley, backed up by a second safety system, and a second lifting platform receives the rider.

Launched zip line FAQ
What is a launched zip line?
It is a zip line whose start is powered by a patented catapult system: the rider, lying in a hang-glider-style harness, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds, instead of gaining speed from the slope alone.
Can it be installed on a gentle slope?
Yes, that is one of its strengths: since the speed comes from the catapult, it can be installed where the slope is too gentle for a classic zip line. It also works on a steeper slope, with a longer braking zone, but not on an uphill cable.
Who can ride the descent?
Riders weighing 35 to 120 kg. The system launches them all at the same speed, whatever their weight.
How many riders per hour?
On a 600 m zip line, a rider departs about every 3 minutes, or around twenty per hour. Two parallel cables almost double the throughput.
How many staff are needed to operate it?
Five operators per cable: two at the start, two at the finish, and one to bring the trolleys and harnesses back to the start.
Which length should you choose?
A length of about 500 m offers the best balance: the intensity comes from the catapult, and the longer the zip line, the fewer riders it can handle per hour. Lengths of 1,000 to 2,000 m remain possible.
What maintenance should be planned?
Regular checks, mainly visual and requiring no special tools (harnesses, trolleys, ropes, cables, pulleys, braking), and an annual inspection by an independent body.
